Job Title: Onsite Technical Liaison


SUMMARY:
The Onsite Technical Liaison is the onsite technical support for the Skila application that is located at the client’s facility. Main responsibilities will include regular maintenance, product upgrades and technical troubleshooting of the Skila application while working closely with client technical personnel as well as Skila US technical counterparts. Business interaction is required as well for handling requests for enhancements to our application and follow-up on ongoing initiatives. This is not a helpdesk position.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Onsite technical liaison for Skila – Represent Skila interests between client business, client technical, and Skila US.
• Maintaining of Development, QA, Production infrastructures
• Installing Skila product upgrades and patches
• Understanding dataflow from client systems to Skila application – supporting the data import and validation process.
• Some ongoing front-end application customization/configuration – Modification of front end look and feel to meet the clients customized needs.
• Issue investigation for categorization – work with client, skila, and end users to investigate misc. application issues
• Onsite application support – Supporting the system to make sure it’s up and running as well as supporting individual end users at times.
• Tracking system uptime/availability – weekly report on the system availability to users according to client definition of availability.
• Running Usage Reports

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Microsoft Windows operating systems
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
• Understanding of HTML
• Oracle SQL
• General understanding of computer networking

• Unix
• Cognos

• German Speaking
• English Speaking
• Good writing skills
